BOUGHT BY WAIRARAPA BREEDERS. Mr C. A. Knutson, Turepo Friesian Stud,. Dalefield, at the Piri Land Co's, sale bought the rising 2-year-old heifer, Totara Converter ramie, for 46gns., the top price for heifers at the sale. The sire of this heifer, Totara Veeman Converter, has for his sire the bull Veeman Pontiac Prince (15 daughters with 20 records averaging 6201 b. butterJat). Mr Knutson's other purchase was the rising 3-year-old heifer, Totara Superior Trixy. Her sire, Totara Netherland Superior 2nd, is a son of Totara Netherland Supremacy (5 C.O.R. daughters up to 7641 b. butterfat) and of Lebrina Clothilde Alcartra (6281 b. butterfat). Totara Sylvia Trixy (the dam of Totara Superior Trixy) has C.O.R. of 6061 b. (2yr.), 8311 b. (4yr.), 6911 b. butterfat (syr.). She is a twice Rioyal Champion cow ancl the highest record cow of any breed to win a Royal Championship. Mr M. J. Parker, Koromiko Friesian Stud, Dalefield, bought at the same sale the rising 3-year-old heifer, Totara Majestic Theo. Her sire is by Totara Netherland Superior (his dam is Lebrina Clothilde Alcartra, 6281 b fat, Junr. 2yr., her dam 11451 b. fat); his sire, a son of Westmere Princess Pietertje, 9391 b. fat (Junr. 4yr.j. The paternal granddam of Totara Majestic Theo is Dominion Woodcrest Domini Ormsby, 5431 b. fat, Junr. 2yr. (her dam 6011 b. fat at 3yrs.). On the dam’s side, Majestic Theo traces back to Rosevale King Sylvia (8 C.O.R. daughters over 8001 b. fat). Ashlynn Bcatus (C.O.R. 751 lb. fat. 4.89 per cent test) and the imported bull. Carnation Matador King Betty.
