CLEARING SALE. SPIRITED BIDDING. Messrs Wright, Stephenson and Co Ltd., report as follows on a clearing sale held on behalf of Mr A. F. Billington, at Fernridge, yesterday:—There was a big attendance and we have to report a very good sale. The herd was in good condition, comprised high, grade Jerseys. There was very spirited bidding and several cows made £l6 and over, and the top price was £lB. The whole herd averaged the highly satisfactory price of £l4 6s per head. The weaner calves made £3 6s. and spring 2-year heifers, £9. Pigs were in demand and the sows made up to £7 12s 6d and a boar, £7. Poultry was in very keen demand and made up to Ils each. All implements, and sundries made good values.
