ORDER OF DRUIDS
STONEHENGE LODGE. MEETING IN MASTERTON. At the fortnightly meeting of the Druids' Lodge held in the Foresters’ Hall. Masterton. the A.D., Bro A. W. Hearle. presided over a good attendance.
One clearance was received from Totara Lodge on behalf of a brother. A report was received on the recent business transacted at a meeting of the U.F.S. Dispensary Board. The resignation as V.A. of Bro A. Mudgway, who had enlisted on active service, was accepted with regret. Members stated that Bro Mudgway was a very active and keen officer and would be greatly missed by his fellow officers. After the conclusion of lodge business he was presented with a suitable gift and wished bon voyage and a safe return.
It was decided to accept a challenge from the Manchester Unity Lodge of Odd Fellows to a game of indoor bowls, the date to be arranged. The secretary reported that 14 members had declared on the sick benefit of the lodge.
Sick pay and accounts amounting to £2l 15s 9d were passed for payment. At the next meeting a "ladies' night" will be held. P.S. Bro W. O. Thomas (Mungaroa Lodge) and Bro I. Howie, of Totara Ladgc. were present and were given a hearty lodge welcome. At the conclusion of lodge business a very enjoyable social was held.
