Lord Beaverbrook, .Minister for Aircraft Production, stated that aircraft production for the week ended on June 22 was the best yet and that there was now no complaint of shortage of aircraft. He said: “We have been most successful in repairing damaged aircraft. We have made up and improved upon our losses since May 10 and we at present are stronger in every category. I am not for a moment saying that the aircraft are sufficient for our ultimate, needs, but a great deal has been done. Imports from the United States are continuous and improving."
