THE BUDGET
INTRODUCTION THIS EVENING. It is anticipated that drastic increases in taxation will be the leading feature of the Budget to be presented in the House of Representatives tonight by the Minister of Finance (Mr Nash). Amongst other details, much higher rates of income tax and a substantial increase in Social Security tax are predicted.
