RELATIONS COMMITTEE. MEETING IN MASTERTON. At the monthly meeting of the Air Force Relations Committee the following members were present: Mesdames Lord (in the chair), Betts, Gill, Gray, and Nathan.
A letter was received from headquarters (Wellington) with reference to an Air Force Relations dance, to be held in the Wellington Town Hall when the R.N.Z.A.F. Band would be in attendance.
A copy of a letter from the Royal Air Force Comforts Committee. London, was received. It acknowledged the safe arrival of two cases of comforts from the N.Z.A.F.R. The letter stated: “We have arranged for the distribution among New Zealanders who are sick or prisoners of their contents, through the kind offices of the New Zealand War Service Association here. I can assure you that the gifts will be greatly ap-, preci a ted.” The Masterton branch packed and forwarded for June. 156 tins of food, including cakes, shortbread. biscuits, condensed milk, tongues, butterscotch barley sugar, etc: also 95 knitted garments (41 pullovers. 19 balaclavas. 18 pairs mittens, three pairs gloves, five pairs socks and nine scarves).
