POLAND FIGHTS ON
ARMIES SAFELY BACK FROM FRANCE LOYAL STAND WITH BRITAIN. BROADCAST BY GENERAL SIKORSKI. (British Official Wireless.) (Received This Day. 12.22 p.m.) RUGBY. June 24. Broadcasting to Poland from London. General Sikorski (Polish Prime Minister), who has now established his headquarters in England, stated: “At the time when the great body of our armies safely back from France is landing on the shores of Great Britain, I would like to declare solemnly, in the name of the President of the Polish Republic and the Polish Government, that, animated by an indomitable will, we shall continue to fight shoulder to shoulder with the powerful British Empire for a free
and independent Poland.” General Sikorski said the British Government had given all their help in the evacuation of the Polish troops from France. He added: "Standing unyieldingly at Britain’s side,'and at the side of her numerous friends and allies, we shall win, bringing to you and to Europe your deliverance.”
