@ MASTERTON COUNTY COUNCIL. PUBLIC NOTICE OF PROPOSED APPLICATION OF SANCTION OF LOAN. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Masterton County Council proposes, at its Ordinary Meeting, to be held on TUESDAY, the 9th day. of July, 1940, to consider a motion to apply to the Local Government Loans Board for .its sanction to the borrowing of the sum of Ten Thousand Pounds (£10,000) under the provisions of “The Rural Housing Act, 1939,” for the purpose of providing the Finance to enable advances to be made to farmers for the erection of dwellings, or adding to or repairing existing dwellings, or adapting existing premises as dwellings for their own use or for the use of any farm worker or any member of their family who is engaged in farming operations on a farm owned or leased by any farmer and situated within the County of Masterton. The security for the repayment of such Loan shall be a Special Rate of One Twenty-seventh (l-27d) of a Penny in the £ (£1) on the Rateable Value (on the basis of the Capital Value), of all Rateable property in the whole of the County of Masterton. Any person having any objection to the proposed application is called upon to submit the same, in writing, to the Masterton County Council not later than the day preceding the said Meeting.
