MODES IN WOOL

display in opera house TONIGHT. AMUSING PLAY ALSO TO BE PRESENTED. How chemical science has transformed our national produce into sensible and fashionable gowns and dresses for every occasion will be strikingly depicted in the wool fashion parade to be shown in the Opera House, Masterton. at 8 o’clock tonight. The display will have an appeal for farmers, womenfolk, and indeed all sections of the community. The display is under the auspices of the New Zealand Wool Council and the National Patriotic Council, and as the proceeds will be donated to the Provincial Patriotic Fund a large attendance is anticipated. New materials including woollen georgettes, taffetas, voiles, etc., will be featured in many styles and fashions, demonstrating the wide field covered by the woollen manufactures. Several especially selected mannequins will display the many innovations in fashion.

Following the fashion play an amusing one-act farce with its background in a matrimonial bureau will bo presented by the well-known producer. Mrs E. J. Rich. Many prominent players will be taking part, and the fact that Mrs Rich is the producer ensures the good quality of the presentation.
