Married Men and Military Service. It is not yet certain whether recently married men will be included in the register of single men between 19 and 45 years which is being compiled for purposes of military service. An early statement on this point may be expected from the Minister of National Service and Repatriation. Mr Semple. When this question was referred to the Prime Minister, Mr Fraser, last night, he indicated that it had not been overlooked. He declined to discuss the Government’s intentions in that direction, but stated that when the order was issued today by Mr Semple all phases of the subject would be covered. Mr Fraser said that voluntary enlistments of married men would be accepted up till July 22, as in the past, but already men with more than two children were being declined. When the new system was operating, however, the first call would be on single men. of whom the first register would be exclusively comprised.
