RED STAR FOOTBALL CLUB. MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE A meeting cf the management committee cf the Red Star Football Club was held at the residence of Mr 'V. Pinkney, Albert Street, Mr R. Milne being in the chair. Several matters of importance to the club were discussed. Mr L. Pearson, vice-president, was accorded a welcome to the meeting by the chairman. It was reported that Mr G. Barr, who had been seriously injured in an accident some weeks ago, was now well on the way to recovery. During the time he was in the hospital several members of the committee visited him. Supper was provided by Mr and Mrs Pinkney, who were accorded a vote of thanks for their hospitality. JUNIOR REP. GAME. WAIRARAPA v. HAWKE'S BAY. There will be played on the Memorial Park tomorrow a representative game between the Wairarapa and Hawke’s Bay junior teams for the Willoughby-Donald Cup. The visiting fifteen is credited with possessing a fast combination, the backs in particular being exponents of that type of play which provides thrills for the spectators. Wairarapa has a solid team and is determined to stage a game worthy of the honour of football in the Wairarapa. An interesting curtain-rai-ser will be played at 1.30 p.m. between the College and . Carterton third grade teams. Those who appreciate spectacular football should not miss being present at Memorial Park tomorrow afternoon. x z EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE. MEETING AT CARTERTON. (“Times-Age” Special.) The Executive of the Wairarapa Rugby Union met last night at Carterton, there being present Messrs H. McPhee (ehair), F. Morton, S. Henson. E. B. Booth. J. P. Scott, C. Gray. V Welch, K. Reid, and E. McKenzie (hon. secretary). J. Henson who was ordered off the field in the Gladstone v Old Boys game at Gladstone on June 8 for misconduct appeared before the meeting. The referee’s report on the incident concluded with a suggestion that a caution would meet the case. The sugestion was agreed to by the committee. Transfers were granted as follows: —H. Graham, Masterton to Old Boys; A. McDonald, Gladstone .to Martinborough; W. Workman, Masterton to Greytown, subject to clearance being produced; F. Cunningham. Masterton to Red Star.

Several schools wrote thanking the Rugby Union for the gift of footballs. . The Hawke's Bay Union advised that arrangements had been made for the visit of Wairarapa to Napier over the weekend; and also that their junior representatives would reach Mastertoll tomorrow morning.

The return game, Hawke's Bay v Wairarapa senior teams will be played at Masterton on July 6, and will be preceded by a game between Puketoi and Old Boys. The charge for admission \vill be gate Is 6d. stands Is. Mr E. Grantham was appointed referee. The New Zealand Rugby Union notified that an instructional Rugby film would be available to Wairarapa for two weeks in September. The Referees' Association advised that Messrs W. Grantham. E. Grantham and H. J. McKenzie had been elected to the Appoinment Board. Instructions arc to be issued to gate men that members of the Army, Navy and Air Force on active service are to have free admission to the grounds. The proposal to arrange a game with a team from the Trentham Military Camp and Wairarapa was left to Mr E. McKenzie to arrange. There will be no club games on July 6. that being the day of the Hawke’s Bay v Wairarapa match at Masterton. The Wairarapa College Pipe Band is to be asked to play at the Wairarapa v Hawke's Bay game. For services rendered to the game it was resolved that Mr Mot Welch be given an official pass for the season.

Accounts amounting to £29 2s 4d were passed for payment. The next meeting will be held on July 4.
