FRANCE’S SACRIFICE
MILLION MEN LOST. STATEMENT BY SYDNEY CONSUL-GENERAL. SYDNEY, June 20. In a statement in which he discussed Australian generosity and understanding for France, the French ConsulGeneral. M Tremoulet, declared that France had lost a million men, but she was still fighting valiantly in spite of her exhaustion. More than £2OOO was raised at a concert in Sydney last night for the French Red Cross.
