Prices of fruit and vegetables in the Wellington market this week are quoted as follows:— Cape gooseberries. 5s to Gs 6d a 1cass; Chinese gooseberries. 5s to 7s a 1-case; grapes, hothouse, 2s 6d to 3: 6d a lb; passion fruit, 8s to 15s a 1case; tree tomatoes, 7s to l(b a 1,-case. Tomatoes, hethouse, Us to 19s Gd a i— case; grapefruit. New Zealand, Gs to 10s a bushel case. Potatoes. 4s to 7s a cwt: onions. Gs to 10s 6:1 a cental bag; kumeras, Gs to 9s a sugar-bag; beans, hothouse, is to Is Gd a lb; green peas, 10s to 23s a sack. Cabbage, 5s to 9s 6d a sack; lettuce. Is to 4s 3d a case; sprouts, 9s to 13s 6d a sugar-bag; cauliflowers, 7s to 13s a sack; silver beet, Is to 2s a case; spinach. 2s to 9s a Case; marrows, 2s to 3s 3d a case; pumpkins, 3s to 7s a sack. Carrots, 3s to 6s 6d a case; swedes, 3s to 5s a case; parsnips, 3s to 5s a case; beetroot, 2s to 4s a case; leeks, 4s to 6s 6d a case; celery, 5s to 10s a case; rhubarb, 10s to 16s a dozen bunches.
