SUCCESSFUL DANCE. HELD AT OPAKI LAST NIGHT. The dance held by the indoor employees of the Masterton Hospital staff al Cooper’s Barn. Opaki, last night was an outstanding success. There was a large attendance, which taxed the capacity of the building. Novelty dances added to the gaiety of the evening, forming a pleasant contrast to the wintry conditions out. Mr C. S. McQuade was an efficienM.C. and kept the proceedings moving to music supplied by Jack Barnes’s Rhythm Boys. An extra was played by Mr E. Blake. The Monte Carlo competitions were won by Miss G. Blakely and Mr Bird, and Miss I. Curtin and Mr E. Spademan. A special "snowball" competition was won by Miss M. Hartman and Mr L. Marshall. A savoury supper was served by an energetic committee. The singing of "Auld Lang Syne” and the National Anthem brought a very pleasant gathering to a close.
