HERD IMPROVEMENT
AVERAGES FOR WAIRARAPA. RETURN FOR LAST MONTH. The Wellington-Hawke’s Bay Herd Improvement Association reports having tested 20,967 cows in the month of May and the average cow produced 3481 b milk of 6.0 average test yielding 211 b butterfat. The highest group in the association was that, of Makirikiri-Okoia wherein 379 cows averaged 3011) butterfat. The highest herd in the association was one of 13 which averaged 381 b fat and the highest cow in the association produced 741 b butterfat for the 30-day period.
