The Federal Cabinet reversed its decision regarding the King's Birthday holiday. The usual holiday will be observed except in munitions works and those completing defence works. The Federal Prime Minister (Mr Menzies) said the States had been consulted on the proposal to cancel the holiday, but it had not been possible to arrange a common policy.
