PADDY’S MARKET NEARLY £3OO RAISED. (“Times-Age” Special.) The Paddy’s Market effort held in the Greytown Town Hall has now reached the total of over £2BO. This includes four donations of £lO each. The joint secretaries, Messrs Shedden and Robinson, did splendid work and assisted by Messrs A. W. Horton. G. S. Maloney and J. W. Herod all the competitions were finalised in good time. >
During Friday evening the Boys’ Band from Martinborough, under the conductorship of Mr Denny, rendered several selections and these were much appreciated by all. The exhibition of curios by the Guides and Scouts attracted wide attention.
The stallholders were all dressed in white uniforms, red capes and white veils with red crosses. The following are the takings and stallholders: Produce stall (£7l 2s 2d), Mesdames Horton (convenor), Johnson, Dyson, Stevens, Hutchings, Misses Eagar and Hutchings, Messrs Dyson and Hutchings.

BOY SCOUTS
PATRIOTIC RAFFLE. The Greytown Scout Committee has received a permit from the Internal Affairs Department to raffle a bicycle valued at £lO. The whole of the proceeds are in aid of the Sick, Woun'ded and Distress National Fund. A house-to-house canvass for the sale of tickets at is each is now being made. The raffle will close on June 30, and the drawing will take place at the Greytown Picture Theatre on Saturday evening, July 6.
GOLF MATCH
WIN FOR GREYTOWN. In the match between Greytown B and Carterton B played at Greytown on Saturday, Greytown won 3 games, and one game was all square. The results were as follow, Greytown players mentioned first in each case:—Ray Ingley and N. S. McLeod all square with G Hart and L. Smart; A. Lane and K. Nix beat Colson and Gustopherson; J- Tate and E. Williams beat Lawrence and Candy; A. Rhodes and A. Cartelbeat Barr and Munro.
The second rounds for the L.G.U. medals were played on Saturday, the scores being as follows:—Silver medal: Miss E. Gregor 91-18-73; Mrs Horner 86-12-74; Mrs Gold 92-18-74; Mrs Jury 95-19-78; Miss B. Feast 95-19-76.; Mrs Thompson 93-14-79; Miss Nix 92-12-80; Mrs C. Ingley 102-19-83. Bronze medal: Miss Booth 92-24-68; Miss B. Gregor 108-32-76; Miss Elmers 108-36-72; Mrs Gregor 112-26-86.
