MASTERTON CLUB PLAY IN PAIRS SECTION. EXCELLENT FORM SHOWN. Further games in the Masterton Indoor Bowling Club’s pairs section have been played and many excellent displays have been witnessed, there being close scaring'in most of the games. The results were as follows: Henson 18 b.eat Finlayson 11; Simpson 13 beat Dixon 11; Hendry 24 beat Roff 11; Edwards 16 beat Leigh 8; Pinkney 16 beat McFarlane 10; Stains 15 beat Read 14; Walker 19 beat Pickering 8: Miller 13 beat Hendry 8; Joyce 14 beat Buckley 9; Grantham 17 beat Harrington 8; Harrington 13 beat Nuttall 12; Buckley 15 beat Mayes 10; Dixon 17 beat Mayes 10; Grantham 12 beat Pickering 7; Roff 14 beat Fenton 13; Nuttall 18 beat Pinkney 16; Joyce 12 beat Finlayson 10.
The Ferns challenge game resulted in Harris, Fenton (s) (challengers) defeating McNab, Pickering (s) (holders) by 23 to 14. On Tuesday next the club will visit Carterton and members arc asked to assemble at the hall nt 6.30 p.m.
