KING’S BIRTHDAY
FEDERAL CABINET CANCELS HOLIDAY. AGREEMENT WITH STATES SOUGHT. By Telegraph—Press Association —Copyright. MELBOURNE, June 7. The Federal Cabinet has decided to cancel the King’s birthday holiday, on June 17, for all Commonwealth employees, including munitions workers. The Federal Government proposes to consult the States with a view to formulating a common policy on holidays in war time.
