Ottawa—Numbers of cattle on Canadian farms at December 1. 1939. were reported at 8.224,100. an. increase of 1.6 per cent over the total for the corresponding date the prevous year. Increases in numbers occurred in New Brunswick. Quebec, Saskatchewan, Alberta and British Columbia.
