CENTRAL SCHOOL

REMODELLING OF BUILDING IN HAND. OPEN AIR CLASS ROOMS FOR INFANTS. Work is well under way at the Masterton Central School to remodel the building, and bring it up-to-date in many particulars. The infants section is at present receiving attention, and one wall has been removed to enable an open-air type of structure to replace it. A verandah will run along the whole length of the infants’, rooms. Two rooms are being dealt with at a time, and the classes concerned are being accommodated in the Assembly Hall while the work is in progress. The alterations include the installation of a central heating system.

It is expected that the work, which is costing over £4OOO, will take about three months to complete.
