FALSE WAR RUMOURS (To the Editor.) Sir, —As a deterrent to those pecu-liar-minded people, who originate depressing war rumours, having no foundation in fact, and which I understand is an offence punishable by law, I trust that the police will take prompt action when necessary and punish the individuals in question, as lately several rumours of this description have been circulated. —Your, etc., CITIZEN.
