The Leedstown Flock today, therefore, probably constitutes the strongest combination of Gatton Park blood in New Zealand. The flock was not extensively exhibited until recently, but as soon as exhibited these Southdowns were instantly successful, and, in the past two years, have gained 6 Championships, 7 Reserve Championships; 20 First Prizes 14 Seconds, besides various Specials and Points Prizes. They have bcei J successful in the sale ring; this season the whole line of sheailing Southdown rams averaging £l6/12/9. studs selling up to 65 guineas at auction and averaginAf? sheep passed by the Southdown Sheep Breeders’ Association, and extended pedigrees supplied with each sheep.
