ENEMY ALIENS
DUNEDIN PRESBYTERY RESOLUTION.
(By Telegraph—Press Association.) DUNEDIN, This Day.
The Presbytery passed a resolution stating that the Government, was in possession of sufficient facts regarding refugees and that it should not be embarrassed by popular clamour demanding the immediate and wholesale internment of all persons of enemy origin. These enemy aliens had everything to lose and nothing to gain through a victory for Hitlerism. There was a minority opposition. One member stated that if he were a foreigner living in this country he would wish his country to win. These people should be put beyond temptation.
