Mr H. Talbot is a Masterton visitor to Hastings.

Mr R. Johnstone, of Masterton, is visiting Wairoa.

Messrs Campbell, Alexander, Lee (Napier), and Pabart (Palmerston North), are at the Hotel-Midland today.

Mr O. G. Ellis, of the Bank of New South Wales staff, Dannevirke, and late of Masterton, is recovering from an operation he underwent last week in the Dannevirke Hospital.

The wedding of Mr C. K. Saxton, of Invercargill, the well-known Rugby football player, to Miss Alison Turnbull, took place in the South Dunedin Presbyterian Church last night. The following booked in yesterday at the Prince of Wales Hotel (Masterton):—Messrs T. F. Annix (Hastings), E. Rolands, W. G. Henson, J. Blinkhorn (Palmerston North), R. L. Shepherd, A. E. Wells (Wellington). The death occurred recently of Mr Alexander McMillan, manager of the sundries department of Sharland and Company, Wellington. He had been with the firm for 39 years, the longest period of any member of the staff. Sixty-six years ago, when only 12 months old, he arrived at Christchurch from Tyrone, Ireland, with his parents. For a number of years he was with Wallace and Company, chemists, Christchurch, and in 1901 came to Wellington. Mr McMillan was well known for his helpful interest in. various sports. He leaves a widow, five daughters (four married) and three sons (two married).
