SIXTEEN GERMAN RAIDERS BROUGHT DOWN

CASUALTIES IN CENTRE OF CITY. MANY CHILDREN KILLED. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright. (Received This Day, 12.35 p.m.) PARIS. June 3. A communique states that over 1000 bombs were dropped in a raid on the Paris region. There were 200 casualties, including 45 killed. It is officially stated that 16 raiders are known to have been brought down. It is stated that between 240 and 300 planes participated in the Paris raid, several schools were hit and many children were killed. Fifteen Domes hit one school converted into a hospital, and two orderlies were killed. Eight persons were killed and 48 wounded in central naris, ine remainder of the occurred in the outskirts.
