ASSAULT ON DUNKIRK

The Germans launched a supreme effort against Dunkirk and sent masses of infantry through flood waters, in successive waves, but the Allies are believed to have resisted all attacks. A ring of German heavy artillery almost surrounds Dunkirk, maintaining a continuous and most violent bombardment. GERMAN LOSSES OF MEN HALF A MILLION SINCE MAY 10. PARIS, June 1. It is semi-ofilcially stated that authentic German documents reveal thatthe Germans have lost half a million men since May 10.
