SOUTH FEATHERSTON
MINIATURE RIFLES WEEKLY COMPETITION. ("Times-Age” Special.) The following were the scores registered in the weekly competition oi the South Featherston Miniature Rifle Club: — Men: D. Cross, 96; K. Fenwick, 98; D. Fenwick, 98; A. Gain, 98; R. Jepsen, 91; P. O’Donnell, 91; L. Rasmussen, 94; M. Hodder, 95; M. Fuge, 95; R. Fenwick. 91; J. Foss,. 83. Ladies: Miss J. Burt, 94; Mrs Fenwick, 96; Miss G. Fenwick, 92; Mrs Thurston, 95; Mrs Willis, 92. Boys: A. Burt, 96; A. Cross, 96; R. Rasmussen, 97;,C. Rasmussen, 91. The fortnightly cups were won as follow: —Ladies: Mrs Fenwick; men, Mr D. Fenwick; boys, R. Rasmussen. EUCHRE PARTY & DANCE ENJOYABLE GATHERING. The puchre tournament and dance held in the South Featherston Hall in aid of the Red Cross Funds was very successful and enjoyable. The prizes were again donated by Mrs Riddiford and won as follows: —Ladies: Mesdames F. O’Neale and Kinsly and Miss Chalmers. Men: H. Worsley, F. C. Wood and H. Burt. The raffles were won by the following:—Mrs Bladen (pig); Miss Marshall (tin of biscuits); June Elliott (cake); Mrs Bain Senr. (tin of tea).
„ The Monte Carlo waltz competitions were won by Mr Frew and Miss O. Gain and Mr Chaslin and Miss Saba. Mr Graham ably carried out the duties of M.C. and S. Te Tau supplied the music, extras being played by Mrs A. Gain and Mr V. Boyd.
The social committee have now handed over to the Red Cross appeal the sum of £6O is. Id.
