POST OFFICE MOERS
ALTERATIONS IN WAIRARAPA. MASTERTON NOT AFFECTED. The Post Office advises that, consequent upon the introduction of the policy of closing certain post offices for weekly half holidays from the week commencing June 3, the position in the Wairarapa district will be as follows: —
At Carterton, Eketahuna, Featherston, Greytown and Martinborough a half-holiday will be observed on Saturdays, the money-order and savingsbank branch closing at noon and the postal and telegraph branches at 12.30 p.m. There will, however, be no change in the present continuous attendance observed in the respective telephone exchanges.
A weekly half-holiday will not be observed at the Masterton Post Office except in the money-order and sav-ings-bank branch, as at present.
Insofar as other offices in the district are concerned, the existing hours are not affected.
