MINE WORKERS
NEW NATIONAL AGREEMENT. (By Telegraph—press Association.) WELLINGTON, May 30,
A plebiscite vote of the United Mine Workers' Union on the new national coal mines agreement has resulted in a big majority in favour of acceptance of the agreement. Work at the mines covered by the national agreement, which includes all the principal collieries in the Dominion, will therefore be carried on under the terms of the new agreement as from and including June 1.
