AIR RAID ALARM

(Received This Day, 9.15 a.m.) LONDON, May 28. , It is officially stated that an air raid warning was sounded in East Kent shortly before noon. The all clear was spunded after forty minutes. Observers say that enemy planes appeared off the south-east coast. One is believed to have crossed the coast line. Anti-aircraft guns quickly went into action and waves of fighters went up. THAMES ESTUARY ANTI-AIRCRAFT BATTERIES OPEN FIRE. LONDON, May 28. Anti-aircraft batteries on the Thames Estuary came into action for .several periods after midnight.
