ESPERANTO

MASTERTON CLUB MEETING. INTERESTING DEMONSTRATION. At the weekly meeting of the Masterton Esperanto Club held last evening at 10 Cambridge Terrace, Mrs J. McNab, vice-president, presided over a very satisfactory attendance of members.

The secretary, Mr W. H. King, gave a resume of the contents of the last issue of the New Zealand all-Esperanto magazine, “La Interna Ideo,” published at Wellington. At the conclusion of the tuition period, Mr King demonstrated with the aid of the blackboard a number of selected Hungarian proverbs translated into Esperanto. These were subsequently analysed and studied grammatically by club members. Half an hour of the meeting was devoted to short impromptu talks, each member taking part in what proved to be an interesting and useful session.
