VISIT TO COLLEGE
ROTARY CLUB MEMBERS IMPRESSED.
A visit was paid to Wairarapa College last night by a party from the Masterton Rotary Club. Members were met by the chairman of the Board of Governors. Mr W. R. Nicol, and by the Principal, Mr G. G. Hancox, and shown over the college. The members were considerably impressed by the high standard of work being carried out. Visits were paid to the engineering block, art and professional classes and the college library. The educational facilities available at the college aroused much favourable comment.
The visitors were entertained at supper in the Home Science flat, a hearty vote of thanks being accorded Miss Irvine, Home Science Instructress and her pupils for the supper they had cooked. Mr H. FI. Daniell thanked Mr Nicol and Mr Hancox for the opportunity of inspecting the college. In reply Mr Nicol stated that he was pleased the Rotarians had been able to obtain some idea of the educational facilities available at the college.
