ANOTHER ROUND-UP IN BRITAIN.

WOMEN SENT TO ISLE OF MAN.

By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright. (Received This Day. 9.30 a.m.) LONDON, May 27.

The Home Secretary has authorised the temporary internment of all Austrian and German women throughout Britain, between the ages of 16 and 60 years. Hitherto they were only compelled to comply with special restrictions. These women are being interned on the Isle of Man and are allowed to take with them children under 16 years. Over 1000 have been rounded up in London. The order affects 3,300 in Britain, many being resident in Glasgow and Sheffield. The authorities have also detained the husbands of many internees already interned.
