SHOT IN ERROR

R.A.F. MEN IN ULSTER. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright. BELFAST, May 25. Three members of the R.A.F. were wounded when a patrol of special constables, mistaking them for parachutists in the darkness, opened fire with rifles and revolvers near an Ulster aerodrome.

The patrol of “B men,” which is similar to the “parashots” organisation in England, riddled a car with bullets when it failed to stop in response to a challenge. They surrounded the car and found the airmen unconscious. They were taken to hospital, and bullets were removed from their chests and logs.
