AIR LOSSES
INFLICTED ON ENEMY AT LIGHT BRITISH COST. FOUR MISSING FIGHTERS RETURN. By Telegraph—Press Association —Copyright. (Received This Day, 10.55 a.m.) LONDON, May 20. The Air Ministry states: —“We shot down twenty German planes yesterday. Four of our fighters were lost. Today we destroyed or seriously damaged over forty German planes. Several of our fighters have not returned. Four of otir fighters which were reported missing on May 23 have since returned. Our reconnaissance planes found oil tanks at Rotterdam still burning this morning, and took the opportunity to bomb several more, which caught fire.”
