CLAIMS BY ENEMY COMMAND INFLATED REPORTS ON AIR ATTACKS. RIDICULED IN LONDON. By Telegraph—Press Association —Copyright. (Received This Day, 9 a.m.) LONDON, May 26. A Berlin communique states: “We have, continued our attack on the encircled Allied armies in Flanders and Artois, further restricting their breathing space. The Allies’ resistance is still very strong at various points.” The German High Command claims that the German Air Force, on the night of May 24-25, effectively attacked numerous aerodromes in Eastern and South-Eastern England. Well-informed circles in London ridicule the claims and presume that they refer to raids in Yorkshire and East Anglia, when eleven civilians were injured, but very little damage was done.
