RISING TOTAL
INTEREST-FREE LOANS. AND DONATIONS FOR WAR PURPOSES. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, This Day. The total of interest-free loans and donations to the Government for use for war purposes is £1,880,488. The latest list of loans includes Associated Motorists Petrol Company, Wellington, £5OOO for the duration of the war and six months afterwards, Wm Cable and Co. Wellington, £2OOO for the duration and six months, Walter Nops, Masterton. £l3OO for the duration, Steel Construction Company, Auckland, £lOOO, duration and six months, E. B. Carrig. Wanganui, £lOOO. duration and six months. The following grants or donations have also been made: E. Whittaker, Petone, gift of £lOO. L. Lay. Hawera, donation of £5O. Mayer and Kean, Ltd. Wellington, donation of £5O.
