BANNED IN AUSTRALIA

The Minister of Information, Sir Henry Gullett, announced that a total ban had been placed on nine Communist newspapers and periodicals published in Australia. These papers, he said, had been active on the. watei - front, in the mercantile marine, in railways and also in works and factories, even churches and universities.
