The Vice-Secretary to the Fascist University Youth Organisation told students assembled for sports: “The games are being held on the eve of war. We leave here for the last war of liberation, which will open the gates of Gibraltar and Suez and make the Mediterranean our sea again.” The police last night turned back students attempting to approach the British and French consulates.
