HARRIER ACTIVITIES
KIATERE CLUB. SATURDAY'S RACE. On Saturday members of the Kiatcre Harrier Club will run from the Solway Showgrounds in a sealed handicap race, starting at 2.30 p.m. Mr A. J- F. Carter, the club handicapper, has drawn up sealed handicaps for both senior and junior runners and the race will be over 6‘ miles for the seniors and 3 1-8 miles for the juniors.
As this is the first handicap race so far this season, it will afford the handicapper a good opportunity to sum up the runners and find their respective placings in the club. At the moment W. Burns appears to hold the position of No. 1 senior while N. Jacobsen is definitely No. 1 junior.
Next week runners will start training runs at the Park Oval in preparation for the Dannevirke rally on June 8.
