ADMIRAL BYRD
REPLY TO CONGRESSIONAL x CRITICISM. BACK IN OBEDIENCE TO ORDERS. By Telegraph—Press Association— Copyright NEW YORK, May 14. Admiral Byrd has arrived from Valparaiso. He said he did not know when or whether he was rejoining the Antarctic expedition. He said he was grieved to learn of Congressional criticism. “I have not made a single cent from this my third Antarctic expedition, which I undertook at the Government’s request. I am back because I was ordered back.”
