Mr and Mrs J. Broad, Upper Plain, are visiting Paraparaumu. Mr and Mrs Davis, Whangarei, are at the Prince of Wales Hotel, Masterton.
Miss Bunty Reynolds, of Masterton. was, a guest at the 21st birthday ball of Queen Margaret College in Wellington last night. Miss Mary Quin, formerly of Hawera, has been appointed secretary of the Wllington branch of the Plunket Society and the Karitane Hospital.’■ Miss Laura Bunting, for many years lady editor of a Wellington paper, died yesterday at her home, Herne Bay, Auckland. Some years ago she resigned and made a tour of India and the East. On her return she joined the ■‘New Zealand Herald” as lady editor. She was a member of a well known Masterton family, and is survived by two sisters, Miss Elizabeth Bunting, and Mrs J. L. Lucena.
