HITLER’S MASK THROWN OFF M. REYNAUD BROADCASTS. FRANCE CALM AND STRONG. (Received This Day, 12.6 p.m.) PARIS. May 10. M. Reynaud, broadcasting, said: “Today our soldiers of liberty went across the frontier into Belgium. Free men and women throughout the world hold their breath. Will bestial force conquer? Today Hitler has thrown off his mask. His attack is obviously against France. It is an old account to be settled — an account oft mentioned in‘Mein Kampf.’ France, calm and strong, has leapt to her feet. This is the hour. We prepare for battle. There are grave thoughts in all French homes at the hour when our youth risks its life, but a common ideal, a common wish and a common determination prevails. France is ready.” FOUR ARMOURED TRAINS DESTROYED BY THE DUTCH. (■Received This Day. 8.50 a.m.) THE HAGUE. May 10. Four German armoured trains were destroyed and also the railway bridge at Vanlo. DUTCH AIR BASES ALL SAVE ONE RETAKEN FROM GERMANS. According to a short wave French broadcast the Dutch have recaptured all air bases except one, where any bombing would exterminate Dutch prisoners held there by the Germans.
