WAIRARAPA CLUB. FIRST RACE OF SEASON TOMORROW. On Saturday the Wairarapa Amateu: Cycling Club will hold its first race of the 1940 road season. It will be a massed start event over a distance o' 12 miles, and run under sealed hand) cap conditions. With a large field o' riders, the race should prove very in teresting. The following riders-will be competing:—R. Copp. A. Morris, G. Goodin J. Brader J. McAliece. M. Graham, J Heaven I. Rutherford, K. Gilbert Price. D. Birnie, .McLauchlan. G. Simpson and K. Woollett. Bannister Street, in the vicinity of the Orange Hall, will be the starting point, and riders arc requested to be on the mark at 2.30 p.m. sharp. Riders may change at Mi - . Copp's residence. No. 7 Elizabeth Street. Masterton.
