DIFFICULT CONDITIONS AT DOG TRIALS

MASTERTON COLLIE CLUB'S

MEETING.

RESULTS OF SHORT HEAD EVENTS. The Masterton Collie Club's annual cog trials are being continued today on Mr Geo. Shaw's property. The open and maiden short head and yard were completed yesterday. The judge, Mr S. F. Herbert, of Pongaroa, stated that considering the conditions the work was quite good. The . sheep were a real test for the dogs, and required working all the way and had yielded to the dogs as they should do. A start was made this morning with the huntaway trials, but it is not expected to make very fast progress owing to the bad weather. Following are the results:— Open Short Head and Yard.
