Mr Sean O'Kelly, introducing a “poor man's budget” in the Dail, estimated revenue at £32.968,000 and expenditure at £35,584,000. He recommended an increase in surtax and an increase of 2s 6d in wireless licence fees. The Budget reduces the cost of cheap tobacco by Id an ounce.
