YOUNG FARMERS’ TOUR

VISIT TO OTAGO AND SOUTHLAND.

WAIRARAPA CLUBS'- PROPOSAL.

The proposal to conduct an organised Young Farmers tour of the OtagoSouthland provinces next month was discussed at great length al the recent annual meeting of the Wairarapa Young Farmers’ Clubs. It was generally agreed that despite present conditions. most farmers old and young, would have a holiday of some kind during the slack season in any case, so that it could be considered more than reasonable to provide an opportunity for young farmers as a group to take their vacation in the form of an educational tour.

The route decided upon is that previously proposed, and it was further decided to invite the newly formed southern Hawke’s Bay Young Farmers’ Clubs district to combine with Wairarapa for the trip. The tour will commence on Monday, June 17, and members will return to their homes on Friday, June 28. The estimated cost per head will be in the vicinity of £l5.
