Mr. Y. Banno, a Japanese merchant, who has flown from Tokio to Sydney, plans to fly to New Zealand in the Awarua tomorrow. Thus, he will have travelled 12,000 miles from Tokio to Auckland in 11 days.

Mr. Banno flew from Tokio to Bangkok in a Japanese air liner, thence in an Imperial Airways machine to Singapore. where he connected with a Dutch air liner. He arrived in Sydney yesterday after a trip of 211 hours from Batavia.
