TAUPIRI COAL MINES
PROFIT FOR PAST YEAR. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) AUCKLAND, May 6. A net profit of £10,592, against £12,222 in the previous year, which was the best since 1931, was earned by Taupiri Coal Mines, Ltd., in the year ended March 31.
The ordinary dividend for the year is unchanged at Is 6d a share or 71 per cent., and absorbs £9750, while preference payments require £l2BO. Gross earnings were £29,176, against £31,174, while interest and rents provided £2791 against £2706.
